Bahamas Family Cruise
We recently returned from a sun-soaked cruise to the Bahamas and it was the perfect escape for spring break! From the crystal-clear waters to the vibrant culture, every moment was filled with joy and adventure. Our ports of call included Nassau, Bimini, and Freeport, each offering its own unique flavor of Bahamian paradise. But the absolute highlight of our trip? Our unforgettable dolphin encounter in Freeport!
Bimini: A Beach Lover’s Dream
Our first stop was Bimini, a smaller island known for its pristine beaches. The water in Bimini truly is breathtaking, a stunning palette of blues. We spent hours swimming, sunbathing, and simply soaking up the island’s serenity. It was the perfect day for some serene relaxation (or pretending to be the Kratt brothers :P)
Nassau: A Capital Adventure
Next up was Nassau, the bustling capital of the Bahamas. We spent most of our time soaking up the sun and playing in the surf. The boys especially loved building sandcastles and splashing in the waves.
Freeport: Dolphin Dreams Come True
In Freeport, the dream of getting up close and personal with dolphins became a reality! From the moment we arrived at the sanctuary, we were captivated. We learned all about these incredible marine mammals from enthusiastic trainers, before wading into the water for an up-close and personal experience. The dolphins were playful and gentle, and we were lucky enough to receive sweet dolphin kisses! Khai, our little animal expert, even impressed the trainers with his knowledge of dolphin facts. It was an experience we’ll treasure forever. We also enjoyed touring the facility and viewing exotic birds, like cockatoos and macaws.
From swimming with dolphins to soaking up the sun on breathtaking beaches, our cruise to the Bahamas was an experience we’ll cherish forever. The memories we made, the laughter we shared, and the sheer beauty of the islands will stay with us for years to come.
